Sometimes when I sit to write to you it just flows and other times there’s an empty screen glaring at me. That was this week, so I walked in a circle around my deck. I prayed and prayed about what to write.

I felt God tell me to remind you how much you are loved.
You. Are. Loved.
You are fiercely and wholly loved.
There is nothing you can do to earn more love.
There is nothing you can do to be loved less.

You are the apple of your Dad’s eye:

“Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” ~ Psalm 17:8

“…for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye…” ~ Zechariah 2:8b

He is with you always, no matter what is happening. Even if you are trying to hide.

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will hold me fast.
If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,’
even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day,
for the darkness is as light to you.” ~ Psalm 139:7-12

You are a part of God’s family.

“God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” ~ Ephesians 1:5

The whole Bible tells us of God’s great love for us, and it’s good to remind ourselves just how special we are to Him!

I don’t know about you, but I seem to remember the bad stuff more than the good things. I remember how I got angry and reacted. I can beat myself up when I struggle with unforgiveness, bitterness or resentment. I can hold onto the hurtful words or actions of someone over the positive and encouraging ones.

There are so many voices out there: good, bad and indifferent. The one we need to really focus on is God’s.

He promises to correct us; teach us; lead us; protect us; love us. If any voice is opposite what God says, stop listening.

You. Are. Loved.
God is always thinking about you.

“I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. “ ~ Isaiah 46:4

“Behold I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”
~ Isaiah 49:16

May we walk with our heads held high, not because of us, but because of how much we are loved by the One who made the vast universe with all His power and might. And He also put the tiniest details in the smallest creature because the small details matter to Him.

We matter to Him. From the biggest thing we are fighting to the smallest detail no one else sees. You are seen and you are loved.
