Gratitude

There is so much happening in our little corner of the world. In fact, everyone I know has something going on that can be overwhelming. For me, it’s important to remember how great and faithful God is. Because let’s be honest, sometimes we allow our circumstances to affect our worship and thankfulness of God.

I thought it would be good to continue where we were last week and take a look at David’s Psalm of Thanks in 1 Chronicles 16. I picked just a few verses and some songs, I hope they bless you.
God cares about every aspect of your life. You are not alone. He loves you and sees you!!!!

It starts off in verses 8-12:

“Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
Glory in his name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.”

God is so worthy of all our praise and when we thank Him, for Who He is and all He has done, there is power to change our outlook and mindsets.

Verses 27-29

“Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place.
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength,
ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name.
Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.”

Worship is more than singing songs, it is enjoying His presence. When we worship Him whether we feel like it or not, we get to declare that His worthiness is not dependent on our feelings or what our life looks at that moment.

Verses 30-33:

“Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’
Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!
Then the trees of the forest will song, they will song for joy before the LORD,
for he comes to judge the earth.”

Our King is coming! He is in control and no matter what we are facing, we can count on Him to be with us!

I hope this helps us remember the majesty, the power, and the faithfulness of our God. May we give Him all the honor and glory that is due His name for all He has done for us!

I am thankful for you allowing me to share my heart with you and I pray that God will richly bless you and your family!

I hope you have a wonderful and awesome day!
